Let's start from the roots... Licorice

It was around 30 years ago, when for the first time I tried a stick of licorice root.

'A Radica how is called in Calabria, the region of Italy where I come from, the licorice root grows free run everywhere. That took me back in the days in my childhood, when with my friends we pick it up in early Autumn. 
Licorice for me means my origin, my story, my roots.

Incominciamo dalle radici...     Liquirizia

E' stato 3o anni fa' quando per la prima volta assaggiai la radice di liquirizia. 

'A Radica come viene chiamata in Calabria, la regione d'Italia da dove vengo, la liquirizia cresce libera ovunque. Questo mi ha portato in dietro negli anni della mia infanzia, quando agli inizi di autunno la mangiavamo con i miei amici.

Liquirizia per me significa le mie radici, le mie origini, la mia storia.

"Radica" 

  Licorice Roots Espresso Martini

30ml "Magna Grecia" Calabria Licorice Liquor 
20ml Grappa di Moscato
20ml Caffe' espresso
15ml Vanilla Sugar Syrup

 Shake well all the ingredients and strain in a fancy cocktail glass.

Shakerare tutti gli ingredienti e versarli in un bicchiere da cocktail

Garnish with a licorice wheel all around the glass.

Guarnire con un rotella di liquirizia arrotolata intorno al bicchiere
