Sweet lie
"Let's go for a picnic today" used to say my mum to us at beginning of all the summers.
Every time that I eat a cherry or a peach my memory goes back to my childhood, when my mum used to wake up us early to go for an amazing day outdoor. Actually, for us children it was a wonderful day in the peach field, but for the adults was a busy work day picking the peach. What I remember are those incredible tall cherry trees on the borderline, where we use to sit under their shadow for having the lunch. For us children was our picnic time, for the hard worker man, like my dad, time to relax and having maybe a glass of wine and for the women, like my mum, maybe time to pick some cherries.
An unforgettable memory, that I want to remember in this beautiful drink that mixes flavor such cherries, peaches and chocolate to remember the "Sweet Lie" that my mum us to tell us in those long gone summers.

30ml Sangue Morlaccho Luxardo
15 ml Maraschino Luxardo
10 ml Chocolate Sauce (Crema di cioccolato)
3 Peach slices (Fettine di pesca)
Muddle the peach slices in a Boston glass, add all the ingredients and shake well with ice cubes.
Double strain in a rock glass over ice cubes.
Garnish with a peach fun and cherry on a stick.
